Can beginners really do this?
Absolutely. Cookie Box® kits are made for complete beginners, with clear roadmaps and step-by-step videos you can follow without any prior knowledge.
What is included in the kit?
Each kit includes tube yarn, a crochet hook, needle, stitch markers, safety eyes, stuffing, and full video tutorials. MINI kits also include printed instructions.
Do I need to buy anything else?
Everything you need to complete your plushie is included in the kit. You’ll only need a pair of scissors to trim the yarn as you go.
What kind of yarn is used in the kits?
Cookie Box® kits use soft tube yarn that doesn’t split, makes stitches easier to see and more comfortable for beginners to work with.
Can I use my own yarn instead?
The patterns are designed for the yarn included in each Cookie Box® kit, so you’ll get the most consistent result using it. You can use other yarn, but the final size and look may change depending on yarn thickness and hook size.

How do I access the tutorials?
You can access the tutorials through a link or QR code included in the kit, or via the tutorials library on the website.
Are the tutorials beginner-friendly?
Yes. Every step is shown clearly and explained at a comfortable pace for first-time learners.
Are tutorials available for left-handed users?
Yes. All learning materials are available for both right- and left-handed users.
Can I rewatch the tutorials?
Yes, anytime. The tutorials stay available, so you can revisit them whenever needed.
Can the tutorials be downloaded?
If you have YouTube Premium, you can download the videos for offline viewing directly in the app. If you’d like the tutorials saved directly to your device, contact us and we’ll help you with the available options.
Is it normal to restart or undo work?
Absolutely. Restarting or undoing a few stitches happens to everyone, especially when you’re learning.
What if I get stuck?
Rewatch the step, take a break if needed, and keep going at your own pace. If something still feels confusing, contact us, and we’ll help you sort it out.
Choosing the Right Kit
How long does it take to complete a project?
Most beginners finish in about 2–8 hours, depending on the kit and personal pace.
Will my toy look exactly like the photos?
It will look very close, with small natural differences because each plushie is handmade. That’s part of what makes it yours.
What’s the difference between ORIGINAL and MINI kits?
ORIGINAL kits are full-size projects with more detailed builds and come with full PDF instructions alongside the video tutorials.MINIs are smaller, quicker projects designed to be simpler and come with printed roadmaps instead of full PDFs.
Are some kits easier than others?
Yes. Kits with simpler shapes and fewer details are usually the easiest to start with. Each Cookie Box® kit has a skill level: Basic, Easy, or Enhanced. You can compare them on the Products page using the difficulty filters, or check the level directly on the product page.
Materials & Usage
Is there enough yarn in one kit?
Yes. Each kit includes enough yarn to complete a plushie, plus about 30% extra so you have room to work comfortably.
Why is there leftover yarn?
We include extra yarn on purpose, so small mistakes or restarts don’t leave you short mid-project.
Can I make more projects after finishing a Cookie Box® kit?
Of course. Once you learn the basics, you can keep practicing with other yarn and new patterns.
Safety & Care
What age is this suitable for?
Most kits are a great fit for ages 8+ with adult supervision, or 12+ for a more independent experience. Contains small parts and is not suitable for children under 3 years old.
Are these toys suitable for pets?
They may be, although they are not specifically designed as pet toys. If making one for a pet, use embroidered eyes instead of plastic ones.
Can the finished toy be washed?
Yes, but keep it gentle. Hand washing and air drying are recommended.
